Background Info: Chris grew up in the super mellow county of Humboldt. Believe it or not, he does not smoke pot- anymore. His dad played drums in the 70's for a popular band called Good Dog. Chris began playing drums in the school band in 5th grade, and got his first drum set at 14. He moved on to Jazz band in high school, and played around with his dad's friends until he formed his first heavy metal band, Thunder Slugs, in 12th grade. In college, Chris joined a local funk band, Rumplestiltskin, where he started fooling around with odd meters and other great things you may not know about. After a couple years he moved to Los Angeles with the guitarist of Rumplestiltskin to pursue a career in music. Things didn't work out with the group, and Chris began searching for other musicians. The second add in the Recycler he answered was for Hoobustank, and the rest is history!
